Meet the designer behind Emi Sarang Fashions
The first time I dreamed of becoming a fashion designer and having my own brand was back in grade six. I remember having conversations with my best friend of the time, about her running a store front while I designed the clothes to sell in it. This led to me approaching my mom about making clothes, which as a sewer herself, she was more than happy to take me to the fabric store to pick fabric and a pattern to make my first t-shirt with. Even from my first garment, I was displeased with the pattern I got, and sought ways to change it to suit the image I had in my mind. From that moment on, when I had the inspiration, I would make various bags, dresses and other garments each being self taught as I went by using the dress form my parents got me for a birthday or manipulating patterns I purchased.
Creating clothing had always been a hobby up until I had completed a Certificate in Interior Design. I was at a crossroads of what to do, to start working, or to go back to school. I don’t remember much about the internal decision, other than, having a strong desire to do a one year Certificate program in Fashion Design. So, I pursued that desire, and got accepted into a couple Fashion School programs, and ultimately chose to attend the Academy of Fashion Design in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
It was during fashion school that my love for creating clothes blossomed into a passionate dream that I longed to make come true. I spent the next two years honing my skills, learning the trade and finessing the designs I made. It was during these years that the name Emi Sarang Fashions was born. Using a part of my given name to personalize the brand to me, I took Emi, from a self given nickname I adopted over the years for myself from my middle name Emillie, and with a love of South Korean culture I borrowed an anglicized spelling for their word for love, Sarang, to complete my brand name Emi Sarang.

Order Related
How long does it take for my order to be prepared?
Please allow 1-3 weeks of time for the garments you ordered to be cut, sewn and finished before shipping. If you have a specific date you need your garment by, please send an email to kerith@emisarang.ca to see if it is possible to expedite your order.
If the garment you ordered was from the Sample Collection, and no made to order garments are included in your order, they will ship within 1-3 business days.
Can I change my order?
Feel free to email us at kerith@emisarang.ca with your change request, and if we haven't begun the process of creating your garment we can make changes your order.
Can I cancel my order?
Feel free to email us at kerith@emisarang.ca with your cancel request, and if we haven't begun the process of creating your garment we can make cancel your order.

Can I return garments?

Shipping Carriers
Through Shopify Shipping, we ship with Canada Post and Purolator to offer the best shipping prices possible to our customers.
When will my order ship?
As most of the garments are made to order which will ship within 1-3 weeks of placing your order. The exception is if you only order garments from our Sample Collection that are ready made products, an order with only ready made garments will ship within 1-3 business days.
Can I update my address after my order is placed?

Where are your garments made?
All the garments created for Emi Sarang Fashions are created in a studio in Regina, SK in Canada. From initial sketch to final product our designs are created under one roof.
How do I know when you are launching new products?
Follow us on Instagram or Facebook to be updated on new garments and projects.
Do you ever have sales?
As we create each garment in our seasonal collections to order to minimize having a negative impact on the planet and to minimize a fast fashion approach within our brand, these items will not be put on sale.
However, keep an eye on garments in the Sample Collection, as they are ready made and may on occasion be put on sale.
Do you offer repairs?
If a garment purchased from Emi Sarang Fashions becomes damaged over time, feel free to reach out to kerith@emisarangfashions.ca with photos and a description of the damage so we can evaluate if a repair is possible. If it is possible to repair your garment, make arrangements with Kerith to mail the garment back to our studio. Please note, the cost of shipping will be the customer's responsibility but there will be no charge to repairing your garment.
